(Remember, there is also a Lockport, NY, many advertisements in the "Midwest Farmer" papers are for people selling fruit trees from NY.) And many names found in New England are found in Lockport, Illinois. The Irish and the New Englanders were the first wave of immigrants to this area. On Google search "Will County Rural Historic Structural Survey" (there are three PDF files to review and are searchable). As example, the home listed as Prior home on north side of Lockport, is NOT the Prior home.
